Featuring John Payne

John Payne, invited by keyboardist Geoff Downes, became the frontman and bassist for the multi-platinum rock supergroup ASIA in 1992, replacing founding member John Wetton. Over the next 14 years, Payne led ASIA through eight acclaimed studio albums, world tours, and chart success — redefining the band’s powerful blend of progressive and arena rock.

When the original lineup reunited in 2006, Payne continued his musical legacy under the name ASIA Featuring John Payne. Formed in 2007, the band has toured extensively across North America, Europe, and Japan, performing timeless hits such as “Heat of the Moment,” “Only Time Will Tell,” “Don’t Cry,” and “Sole Survivor.”

Known for their virtuosic musicianship, lush harmonies, and dynamic stagecraft, ASIA Featuring John Payne captures the essence of the band’s classic sound while evolving it for modern audiences.

In addition to touring, John Payne collaborates with other rock icons — including Lou Gramm of Foreigner — and is the co-creator and producer of the hit Las Vegas show Raiding the Rock Vault.
