Based in Cleveland, Ohio, For the Love of Money isn’t just another tribute act, it’s a heartfelt homage to a rock legend, built by those who knew him best.
In 1977, amidst economic chaos and Cold War anxiety, a young Paul Vician found his refuge in his parents’ record collection. From B.B. King and Willie Nelson to The Platters and Elvis, music became his anchor. Then one night, watching Don Kirshner’s Rock Concert, Paul saw Eddie Money and something clicked. The blend of blue-collar honesty and rock ’n’ roll swagger inspired him to pick up a microphone, and he never looked back.
Fast-forward to 2000: Paul was a fixture in Los Angeles’s music scene when fate intervened. His friend Jon Graves, Eddie Money’s front-of-house engineer, called in a panic — their guitar tech was sick, and they needed a replacement for the summer tour. What began as a two-week gig turned into a two-year journey across the country, with 235 shows in the first year alone.
Working side-by-side with his childhood hero, Paul found in Eddie not just a mentor but a friend. Eddie encouraged Paul’s original music and even let him open shows. That bond of respect, gratitude, and shared passion became the foundation of For the Love of Money, a tribute that carries Eddie’s spirit forward with authenticity and love.
Joined by a powerhouse lineup with Tony Artino on guitar (who played on Eddie’s “Just No Givin’ Up”), Troy Sands on keys, Brian Dossa on bass, and Billy Cioce on drums, Paul leads a band that channels the raw, soulful energy of Eddie’s classic live shows. Their performances capture the spark that made fans, affectionately called Ed Heads, fall in love with that unmistakable voice and vibe.
Every show is a celebration of the man, the music, and the memories, filled with joy, stories, and all the songs that defined Eddie’s blue-collar rock legacy.
For the Love of Money is available for corporate events, festivals, concerts, cruise ships, casinos, theaters, trade shows, meet-and-greets, and other live venues nationwide.
